Meet our founder, Tammy Hunter!

Pictured here are Tammy and her sister, Kim.

Tammy founded Kim’s House of Care from a deeply personal place: her love for her sister and the years she spent watching Kim live in a care home.

Through Kim’s experience, Tammy saw firsthand the good, the bad, and the difficult realities that can come with residential care. She witnessed the importance of compassionate caregivers, dependable support, and an environment where residents are treated with dignity and respect. She also saw areas where care could be better, and where residents could be given more opportunities to stay active, learn, grow, and truly feel at home.

Those experiences planted a vision in Tammy’s heart: What if there were a home where excellent care and genuine family could exist together?

That vision became Kim’s House of Care.

Tammy is committed to creating a safe, dependable, family-style home for elderly and disabled adults. One where residents are known by name, valued as individuals, and cared for as family. Tammy believes that a truly caring home must care for the people providing the care, too. She wants residents and caregivers alike to experience an environment built on trust, respect, consistency, and belonging.

At the heart of Kim’s House of Care is a simple belief: everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and at home.

Named in honor of her sister Kim, this home represents Tammy’s desire to turn years of personal experience into something meaningful... a place where elderly and disabled adults can receive excellent care while experiencing the dignity, connection, and sense of family that make a house a home.
